In 2021, the total number of downloads has doubled again to reach a cumulative number of 2.560 billion downloads. And finally the number reached 3.301 billion downloads in late 2022.

However not all the downloads have to turn into a permanent user experience, but TikTok has managed to maintain a high number of active users.

TikTok platform has reached 1.6 BILLION active users in late 2022, and is expected to reach a wider audience base throughout this year to reach nearly 1.8 billion active users at the end of 2023.

As a marketer or business owner, you need to be on TikTok right now. The number of audience on TikTok is massively increasing, and accordingly the number of audience you can address over the app.

It’s reported by Google’s vice president that 40% of the young-aged social media users prefer TikTok and Instagram when looking for a specific place, instead of using the normal search over the Google search engine and Google maps.

Also, TikTok has scored the 4th rank in user engagement on user generated content campaigns, which makes it a super active environment to make your marketing campaign and expect good interaction and results.

Why should TikTok be a main platform in your marketing strategy?

It’s much easier to make your content go viral on TikTok than most of the other video-hosting platforms. Or let’s speak numbers, the content of a beginner influencer has an average views of 38,517.

If your products or services are directed to Gen Z, TikTok will be the perfect platform for that, as 62% of this generation are recorded to spend most of their time on TikTok. The dominant age group on TikTok is from 18 to 24 years old.

You can find that the Cost Per Message for a TikTok advertisement costs you less than half of the same message’s cost on Instagram, and only costs you the third of the cost of the same message on Twitter.
